I have some thoughts about your problem with backgrounds. Personally I think the white backgrounds on most of your work complements the actual piece. Since they're so chaotic in nature already it adds that bit of contrast and really makes the actual image pop from the page. Although, if you were to incorporate backgrounds, I would like to see vast landscapes, but they'd have to be disconnected from the subject in some way, like a distortion of reality, or feign depth of field and add some blur to whatever element you're using. Anyway, hopefully that gives you something to think about and build upon. I look forward to see some more of your work!
